WEDDINGS

Whether you're bringing different traditions together, are unaffiliated with a formal religious organization, or simply want to create a ceremony that reflects who you are, I can help.

Standing before your family and friends to take a vow to love someone for a lifetime is a beautiful and sacred act. I write a wedding ceremony for each couple, based on our conversations and a questionnaire you both fill out. You can contribute as much or as little as you want to creating the ceremony. It can be as traditional or nontraditional as you like. What's important to me is that you are happy and comfortable with your wedding ceremony and that it represents the two of you and your beliefs and values.

COMMITMENT CEREMONIES

Vowing to love and cherish another person for a lifetime is a sacred and beautiful act. And for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer community, it's also a courageous act.

Whether you are blending different traditions, are unaffiliated with a formal religious organization, or want to create your own ceremony--traditional or nontraditional--I can help.

I'll meet with you and ask you both to fill out a questionnaire. Based on our discussions and the information on the questionnaire, I'll write a ceremony that reflects your beliefs and values. Your level of participation in creating the ceremony is up to you.

SPIRITUAL COUNSELING

Do you have a problem you need to talk about? Are you wondering if this is all there is to life? Are you interested in exploring spiritual issues?

Maybe I can help...or at least point you in a helpful direction.

"In order for our suffering to have any meaning at all, it must ultimately increase the capacity of all humankind both to love and to be loved." -- Joan Borysenko, Ph.D., author of Fire In The Soul--A New Psychology of Spiritual Optimism

RITES OF PASSAGE AND OTHER CEREMONIES

* Funerals
* Baby namings
* House blessings
* Let's create a ritual together

Ceremonies and rituals serve an important role in making important occasions sacred. They bind families and communities together. And they help us to fathom major changes that occur in our lives and ground us as we go through them. Whether the occasions are happy or sad, we acknowledge our need for community and, for those who believe in a Higher Power, we acknowledge that Power working in our lives. Familiar symbols and language bring comfort and evoke our own inner power to connect with the universal human experience.
